Cookie Policy
This policy describes cookies and browser storage used by Halal Souq Kenya.
Last updated: 29 August 2026
What the site stores
Cookies are small values stored by a browser. This site also uses localStorage and sessionStorage, which perform similar browser-side functions.
- hs_cookie_consent: records necessary-only or analytics consent for up to one year.
- hs_admin_session: an essential, signed, HTTP-only administrator session lasting up to eight hours.
- hs-cart in localStorage: remembers guest cart items on the device until cleared.
- hs-order in sessionStorage: temporarily displays order confirmation on the same browser tab/session.
Necessary and optional purposes
Necessary storage supports security, privacy choices, the guest cart and order confirmation. The site also keeps anonymous daily aggregate counts of public page views and commerce events without setting an analytics cookie or retaining a visitor identifier, IP address or fingerprint. Optional Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or TikTok Pixel integrations remain inactive unless configured and, where required, you have selected Accept all.
Your choices
Choose Necessary only to refuse optional analytics, or Accept all to permit it when available. You can clear the hs_cookie_consent value and site data in your browser to make a new choice. Blocking all browser storage may prevent the cart, confirmation and admin sign-in from working correctly.
Third-party services
Opening WhatsApp or another social link takes you to a third-party service that may set its own cookies under its own policy. Halal Souq does not control those third-party cookies.
